On nights like last night when I’m half-awake listening to the sounds of New York and surfing the web I found myself using my sharp detective skills to learn more about Edward Tufte, statistician and renowned expert on informational graphics. In this late-night research I came across one of his speeches on his book Beautiful Evidence and simultaneously stumbled across graphic recordings of this talk. The image above is a recording done by artist Eva-Lotta Lamm and is one of our favorites in the bunch. I also came across another drawing of the same speech done by Austin Kleon and it’s interesting to see how the two processed the same speech.
