hosting a three-day meeting to assemble a new team – their OSI team. During this multi-day session, attendees needed to establish a mission, team function, and roles, and align around decisions. A lot of hands-on work would happen in this session, and BeiGene was hoping to reign in the final day with an element of creativity. And so, their team reached out to ImageThink to provide a visual workshop that would ensure that the OSI team left clarified on expectations, inspired, and energized.
Breaking Through the Box Office
On the final day of their meeting series, ImageThink met BeiGene’s OSI team. To round off BeiGene’s session, ImageThink’s Founder and CEO, Nora Herting led a creative exercise where team members assumed the role of movie producers. In this exercise, the team’s task was to define their team’s mission and identity as if it were a film. They visualized their team’s superpower, its benefits to HCPs and patients, and aspects like supporting cast, plot, title, and tagline. Using a visual template, the BeiGene team later shared their “movies” with the larger group. Crucial insights about their collective strengths, and what they needed to succeed revealed themselves.
During this exercise, and as the meeting recapped the previous days, ImageThink provided graphic recording of the discussions that floated around the room. As an ImageThink visual strategist captured these elements, it helped solidify and reaffirm the decisions made over the meeting series. The final board visibly documented the OSI team’s mission, strategy, linkage to other departments, and to the organization’s larger mission.

At the completion of our partnership together, the OSI team was left accustomed to each other, energized, unified. ImageThink’s workshop revealed new things about the individuals within the OSI team. It also helped them think through the decisions they made during their meeting series and provided a visual path forward.
The final visual asset for BeiGene’s OSI team was an executive summary of their three-day session. Equipped with this visual executive summary, the OSI team had a tangible piece to inspire them and guide their efforts.
